“A long time ago…” Whenever a story begins with this phrase, I think of the Middle Ages. Courtly love, knights jousting and ladies in flowing dresses are some of the images that come to mind. I’ve always been fascinated by this time period, and wondered how people lived then – how they went about their daily lives, what they wore and how they ate. Until a time machine is invented, the best way to experience Medieval life is to either join an Anachronistic society, or enjoy a meal at Medieval Times. For families, this is one awesome experience. Imagine becoming a lord or lady, watching jousting tournaments and shows of strength and skill from knights on horse. Eating with your hands is not a faux pas… completely acceptable to hold a drumstick with your fingers.
